Company History

MIC Radiology Group formerly known as Medical Imaging Centre (MIC) has undergone an exciting transformation since its founding in 2015 under Dr Godfrey Chatora’s vision. Initially focused on interventional radiology, it swiftly branched into diagnostics services, offering X-ray and ultrasound, and later acquired a CT Scanner at the Harare Baines Intercare Medical Centre branch in 2016.

In 2019, MIC underwent a strategic rebranding, becoming MIC Radiology Group to encompass its growing scope of services. This diagnostic imaging service, including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, Mammogramy,MRI and CT scans.

MIC Diagnostic: Formerly Medical Imaging Centre, this division continues to provide a wide range of diagnostic imaging services, including X-rays. Ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography , MRI and CT scans

MIC Interventional: Formally the interventional Radiology Clinic, this division specializes in minimally procedures guided by imaging, offering a less invasive alternative to traditional surgery.

The following years saw continued growth and diversification. The team, started with just 10-10 dedicate individuals, grew to over 80 skilled professionals across various departments including the addition of two radiologist- DR Mvere in 2022 and Dr Mupurwa in 2023. This expansion necessitated further physical growth, leading to the establishment of three additional branches across Harare.

In August 2022, MIC marked a significant milestone with the launch of MIC Women’s Imaging, a dedicated division offering specialised imaging services for women’s health, and acquisition of the country’s first 3D Mammogram unit.
